there are two demand sliders. The Ceasefire slider (for requesting a ceasefire) and the Demand Caps slider (for intimidating into a truce). The ceasefire slider (requesting the truce) should only be able to slide if the player has the caps to make a truce. It should not have a maximum limit except as set by the amnount of caps the player has. If the ai with a specific repudation (and if betrayed or not) wants a certain amount of caps for one day of truce, that is the minimun required. If the player doesn't have it, the slider is locked and text shows the player needs at least ##caps to initiate the truce. If they can afford it, it can slide up to the amound that the computer precalculates. Run this by me, do you understand? Tell me when the slider can move, and what the requirements are, etc. so I know you understand.

1. The "Ceasefire" Slider (You paying the AI for a Truce)
The Background Math: The moment you open the diplomacy screen, the game calculates the exact cost of 1 Turn of Truce. It factors in the base cost, how big the AI's army is compared to yours, your Betrayal Tax, and any Reputation discounts (Liked/Idolized). Let's say it calculates that 1 turn costs 15 Caps.

When it is LOCKED (Disabled): The game checks your bank account. If you have 14 Caps or less, the slider is physically disabled. It cannot be moved. Underneath it, red text will display: "Requires at least 15 Caps for a 1-turn Truce."

When it can MOVE (Enabled): If you have 15 Caps or more, the slider unlocks.

The Maximum Limit: There is no arbitrary limit of 3 or 5 turns. The maximum limit is defined entirely by your wallet.

If you have 30 Caps, the slider lets you pick between 0, 1, or 2 turns.

If you have 150 Caps, the slider lets you pick up to 10 turns.

As you move the slider, the text updates to show the exact cost of the turns you selected, and the "Submit Proposal" button becomes active.

2. The "Demand Caps" Slider (You extorting the AI)
The Mechanic: This is for when you want the AI to pay you (either as a pure tribute because they are scared of you, or in exchange for you giving them Reserve Troops).

The Maximum Limit: This slider is strictly limited by the AI's current bank account. If the AI only has 24 Caps to their name, the slider's maximum limit is 24. You cannot demand money they don't have.

The Validation: If you slide it to demand 20 Caps, the AI will only accept it if you are offering them something of equal or greater value (like 4 Reserve Troops), OR if their reputation/fear of you is so immense that they are willing to just hand you their lunch money to avoid being destroyed.

Summary of the Player Experience:
You open the window. The game does the math. If you are broke, the Ceasefire slider is locked and tells you exactly how short you are. If you are rich, the slider expands to let you buy as many turns of peace as your massive bank account can afford.
